Erica Cosentino's Website
I am a Lecturer at the Institute of Philosophy II, Ruhr University of Bochum.
My main research interests are in the Philosophy of Language and Mind, Philosophy of Psychology and Cognitive Science. I am particularly interested in episodic memory and mental time travel, and in the role of sensory, motor and emotional processes in language comprehension.
I have been recently awarded a grant for the project "The cornerstone of self-control. A philosophical investigation into the role of mental time travel in overcoming temporal discounting" (starting on August, 2016), funded by the Templeton Foundation through Florida State University's project "The Philosophy and Science of Self-Control".
